League of Legend 'LCK Franchise' 10 teams finalized
Riot Games, a developer and distributor of League of Legends (LoL), announced the final 10 companies that will join the'LoL Champions Korea (LCK)' franchise, which will be introduced next year.
Riot Games announced the first 10 companies to be negotiated based on the results of two evaluations conducted with external experts in each field in August, and has been negotiating a league participation contract for a month in September.
According to Riot Games on the 2nd, all 10 negotiating companies have paid all the 1st subscription contributions on the 30th of last month, confirming joining the LCK next season. The existing LCK team will pay 10 billion won and the new member team 12 billion won over the next five years.

Riot Games will establish a separate LCK corporation to develop LCK as a sport enjoyed by generations and focus on building a sustainable e-sports ecosystem. The representative of the LCK corporation will be the general manager of the e-sports business division Oh Sang-hun.
The companies selected for the LCK franchise will become one community with the league by sharing revenue from the league operation in the future. After the franchise was launched, various systems such as the abolition of the elevator system, the establishment of a second-team league, and enhancement of player support are expected to enable stable and long-term team operation.
Prior to the launch of the franchise next year, the LCK negotiation period will be applied. The LCK priority negotiation period ends just before the start of the official FA period for LoL esports around the world, which is set on the third Monday of November (based on coordinated universal time). The LCK Priority Negotiation Period is a temporary system designed to allow players and coaching staff belonging to teams unable to participate in the LCK next year to more smoothly negotiate and sign contracts with LCK participating teams.
